The bike ride
Brenner-Bozen
The bike ride Brenner-Bozen is one of the three most scenic routes in South Tyrol. This is a part of the bike trail Munich-Verona, which runs across borders. The section Brenner-Bozen goes over slight hills and through shady forests. Since the path is well marked, you are sure to reach the goal and cover the distance from Brenner to Bozen. The total length is around 96 km and begins with a light descent towards Sterzing. This is followed by small and idyllic villages that offer a picturesque sight. Next, the path leads to the fortress Franzenfeste and the monastery Neustift. Finally you reach Brixen and here you can take a little rest. In the historic center there are romantic little restaurants where you can get a refreshing drink. In the last part you ride from Brixen to Bozen passing through the gorge of the Eisack valley. The journey passes near the artistic town of Klausen, which is famous for the monastery hill Säben. At the end you reach the provincial capital of Bozen.
